Buttermilk Basil Dressing

Here’s a salad dressing idea if you want a change from the usual olive oil and lemon juice vinaigrette. It’s adapted from Fine Cooking magazine.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup buttermilk 1 Tbs. sour cream 1 Tbs. white balsamic vinegar 1/2 tsp. honey 2 Tbs. extra-virgin olive oil 1 Tbs. thinly sliced fresh basil Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation:

Combine buttermilk, sour cream, vinegar, honey, olive oil and chives in a small screw-top jar. Shake thoroughly to combine. Taste for seasoning.
